Worldwide offices
At Bain, we work seamlessly together as one firm to serve our clients wherever they need us. We have 42 offices in 27 countries around the world. We make our collective knowledge, experience and global network available to our clients.
Office overview
In 1982 Bain opened its first German office in Munich-the Bavarian capital and economic center of Southern Germany, and city of "Oktoberfest." Located at the Stachus in the very heart of the city, the Munich office has grown to become one of the larger offices worldwide serving various national and international clients from the financial services, industrial goods, healthcare, and consumer goods, to the tech and telco sector. It also is home to our German/Swiss Private Equity Practice.
Various events throughout the year keep us busy celebrating and enjoying our workplace. Celebration Fridays or the "Bain Oktoberfest" are only two of many networking platforms where people have the opportunity to celebrate and exchange work experience.
As part of the German and Swiss office complex our consultants work for multinational leading firms all over Europe and around the world. We celebrate our diverse teams and office culture together with all our colleagues from other German and Swiss offices at our New Year's Kick-Off and Summer Office Retreat.
We take teaming seriously at work and at play. Together we are involved in several pro bono activities such as our "Community Impact Days." Every year Bain is ranked as a top 10 employer.

Our social impact
Inspired by the social work done by other Bain offices around the globe, we initiated in 2007 our first Community Impact Day to show our social involvement within our own home community. This was the start to what has become a fixture in the calendar of all Munich Bainies. For one day we step away from our laptops, conference calls and emails to contribute our time and skills to a variety of causes that provide help to children, handicapped and other people in need. This is done either by actively helping relevant institutions with hands-on-work or by directly engaging with handicapped people and children. Each year we support about 5-10 children's homes, schools or centers for disabled with our projects. Our activities included in the last years for example:
Best Buddies
A program in which Bainies spend a day with mentally handicapped persons and take a trip to the countryside. Together we play soccer, sing songs and have a barbecue. Although from very different backgrounds, members of the group approach it without any reservations and have lots of fun together. The excursion is not only a great adventure for the mentally handicapped but an interesting and rewarding experience for the Bainies as well.
Job Application Training
Pupils get the chance to work together in small groups with Bainies on how to apply and prepare for job interviews for apprenticeships. In addition to discussing checklists for the perfect motivation letter and CV, the pupils participate in various role plays and job interviews scenarios under realistic circumstances. This is a very educational and fun event.
Home refurbishment
The refurbishment of a home for disadvantaged girls with two teams of Bainies: One team is responsible to paint the walls and ceiling in the sleeping rooms of the home and another team cleans and replants the garden. This help is greatly appreciated by the community as well as it is enjoyed by the participating Bainies.
Since the start of Social Impact Day, participation rises and each year around 150 Bainies. With our recurring efforts, we are starting to build relationships with several institutions in the region, which we continuously support each year with our teams.Recruiting process and contacts
