In addition to traditional client work, the Bain Greater China offices are committed to supporting the local community.  Our offices undertake several major non-profit projects each year.  We make a significant investment in providing full Bain case teams on a pro-bono basis.   Recent clients include The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Jet Li One Foundation, the Hong Kong Ballet, and The Climate Group.  We aim to create long-term relationships and high impact within these organizations just as we do with our corporate client work.   
 
Our offices also support local charities through fundraising and volunteer opportunities.  Each summer, the Hong Kong office holds an auction, including rounds of golf, vintage wines, and dinners, with the proceeds going towards a local charity chosen by our office.  For the past seven years, we've also held an annual Christmas party for the young children at the local orphanage.  In Shanghai and Beijing, team members volunteer on weekends and evenings to teach at local migrants' children's schools.
