In the office

Your job is more meaningful when you have the opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with colleagues. At Bain, we take this philosophy to heart.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events designed to bring together specific teams or entire offices. We even use office surveys to ensure the events match the goals and preferences of the staff.

Officewide activities

The Triple Crown. The Grand Slam. The Consulting Cup. These are just a few of the names for competitions held at Bain offices around the world. Events in these year-long competitions include poker tournaments, soccer games, golf, go-carting, and paintball tournaments. Whatever the activity, the objective is the same: getting to know your colleagues in an informal setting.

Offsite retreats

Most offices have a yearly retreat where participants spend a day in a relaxing atmosphere outside of their base city. These offsites are opportunities to reflect on the year and trade stories. Fun also is on the agenda too: it might be our legendary Bain Band, composed of our employees, or entertaining, consultant-produced videos.

Community service

Many Bain people contribute to their local community on their own time. Bain offices' quarterly, semi-annual or annual community involvement events allow entire offices to contribute as a unified team. Initiatives include volunteering at orphanages and shelters, rebuilding and upgrading local parks, and fixing buildings owned by local nonprofits.

Case team and class events

All Bain case teams as well as associate consultant and consultant classes, are encouraged to create social team outings. Members can step away from their daily responsibilities and focus on getting to know each other better. Events include team dinners, cooking classes and attending sporting events.
