My passion
My passion at Bain is working with local Thai and other local Asian corporations as they make the transition from being traditionally family run, single country businesses into professionally run, regional or global organizations. Outside of the office, I like hanging out with my 2 young boys, playing golf, cooking, and collecting artwork from up-and-coming Asian artists.
My favorite case
We helped one of Thailand's leading companies, in terms of value creation, develop its new long-term strategy. It has been fascinating watching as they have taken our work and applied it to their day-to-day business for organic growth and via m&a for their inorganic growth.
My personal results story
We are working for an entrepreneur who has interests in 5 - 6 different businesses: airlines, online travel agency, financial services, education, hospitality, automotive, and healthcare. Over the course of the engagement the Bain team has facilitated two JVs agreements, analyzed the purchase of new aircraft, developed a roll out plan for a hotel chain, and formulated a loyalty program for the airline. These are real results that are immediately implemented and used by the client to grow his diversified portfolio of businesses.
My perspective on diversity at Bain
The diversity within the SE Asia is amazing with about 17 different nationalities across the SE Asian offices. This makes the region a great place to work and allows us to bring a sophisticated and nuanced perspective on our clients' problems as well as allowing us to work closely with them to implement real solutions.
A final thought
The Bain experience is what you choose to make it: push yourself to deliver great individual results to your team and that team will in turn deliver great results to the client. This quickly becomes a virtuous circle where you are constantly being pushed, pushing others, learning along the way, and elevating the delivery capability of yourself, the team, and Bain.
