• Why Bain?

  Having worked in the consulting industry for three years before joining Bain, I learned that Bain has the best reputation for delivering results to clients as well as being one of the best consulting firms to work for. Having multiple ex-colleagues become colleagues again is a testament to this.

• My passion

  My professional passion is coaching and teaching more junior staff in the consulting toolset. I believe at Bain there are numerous opportunities that support this, from informal case-based coaching to more rigorous class-based teaching.

• My favorite case

  My favorite case so far was my first case at Bain, in the telecommunications industry.

  The case was a great introduction to the tools Bain uses and also posed some challenging analysis which ultimately added value to what the client wanted to achieve. The insight gained from the data analysis enabled us to make solid recommendations to the client.

• My perspective on diversity at Bain

  Bain actively promotes diversity through targeted initiatives (e.g. industry hire training groups) as well as encouraging diversity through its Global training programs which all new recruits and new promotes undertake; at these training sessions participants meet fellow Bainies from around the world.

• A final thought

  My main advice to recruits is to think about what motivates you to achieve your best on a sustainable basis as well as what type of working culture you want to be part of.
