  • Why Bain?

I choose Bain because I wanted to work in a diverse range of industries along side high quality individuals. Throughout the recruiting process it was the interactions I had with Bainies that assured me that this was where I wanted to work.

  • My passion

Bain actually helped unearth a passion for me: 'soccer'. Before working for Bain I had never participated in a competitive game of soccer. This year I travelled to Munich for the Bain World Cup. It brings together Bainies from all over the world to play soccer. For a country not renowned for football prowess, we certainly held our own.

  • My favorite case

My favorite recent case was for a large Beer company. The case was a great example of what consulting can be. We started by diagnosing challenges facing the business, we then developed a number of initiatives to address these challenges, and we are currently working with our clients to imbed these initiatives in the business.

  • My personal results story

When we started our case our client was not sure what battles they should be fighting. I worked with a group of clients to develop a template for identifying must win battles. I then travelled with these clients around the country to get input from all states as to what their must win battles were. The end result was a consolidated view of our key battles that provided clarity for the client. It was described by the CFO as the "most impressive articulation of a state strategy I have seen in 5 years at this company".

  • My perspective on diversity at Bain

Diversity at Bain is seen in the work we do, the clients we deal with, and the people we work with. Diversity is a Bainie's best friend.

  • A final thought

In any job it is the people you work with that have the greatest impact on your development and enjoyment. This should be on the top of your mind when considering where you want to work.
