Why Bain?
The people reminded me of the people I enjoyed spending time with in college. They had a diverse set of interests, where clearly competitive and high achieving, but somehow remained balanced and down-to-earth. It was a rare, refreshing mix.

My passion
At Bain: Coaching and mentoring the people on my teams. I like to see the people I work with grow and develop new skills. My goal is for every member of the team to learn more than just case content. I want them all to excel at the job and have fun stepping up to new challenges
Outside of Bain: I am a "serious amateur photographer". I shoot all kinds of street, concerts, festival, and hip-hop photos. I often take advantage of business trips to spend a night wandering or a few extra hours on the front/back-end to explore with my camera and capturing the sights.

My favorite case
Working for a large healthcare clinic company to improve their operations. The case was tremendously challenging because they have a very talented team. In the end, we were able to find a massive opportunity that will potentially transform the way the company does business. Being a part of a business transformation is a unique opportunity, and I've been blessed to be a part of several during my career.

My personal results story
During a recent case with a multi-billion dollar pharma/device company, I worked side-by-side with the CFO to redesign his entire global organization. We changed the organization and the core processes to improve their efficiency and their overall effectiveness. It was a great experience to work with an executive that needed and wanted our help and build friendships with him and his senior team as we made a lot of tough decisions. In the end, they are a leaner, more effective organization as a result of our collaboration.

My perspective on diversity
In addition to very visible success diversifying our consulting team, Bain is a unique culture that has a massively diverse team. While we are all similar in some ways (e.g. we like to work hard, we laugh at work, we're competitive, we try new things), we also have a team with a huge array of interests and goals. As I've gotten to know hundreds of Bainies over the years, I can honestly say that we are among the most diverse groups of people I've ever seen.

A final thought
Bain has been a great place to build a career. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow. In the end, I haven't even heard of a place that offered a better combination of great people, great work, and great rewards.
