I chose Bain because of the caliber of people at the firm. I wanted to work in an environment where I was stimulated by the work itself and inspired by the people around me.

Bain's 'one-firm' approach also appealed to me, and has allowed me to continually broaden my international and cultural experiences. This has included not only working with teams across North America and Europe during case-work but also doing a temporary transfer to London and eventually a permanent transfer to the Chicago office.

My passion at Bain is largely about having an impact on myself and my clients. Personally I am always driving towards pushing my skills, knowledge, and experiences, and Bain offers an unparalleled program of support and opportunities. At the same time I am passionate about making a difference and creating a real impact for clients. Knowing that not only am I learning but also creating real value for clients keeps me continually motivated.

My favorite recent case was working for a large European consumer goods firm. We were supporting them in developing a coordinated strategy on improving customer loyalty, specifically in several key global markets. The case was fascinating because it not only drove value across a global organization and touched thousands of consumers, but offered insights into the challenges and nuances of different markets around the world (e.g. emerging Asian economies vs. mature European markets).

It opened my (and the clients) eyes by challenging the accepted wisdom of how consumers view their relationships with the firm and how consumer attitudes can change in different countries.

I believe that Bain is unsurpassed in terms of diversity. The amazing thing is not only the range of individuals at Bain in terms of work experience, international experience, gender, etc, but that at the end of the day we share so much in common. Our shared passion, drive, results-focus, and energy are what bring us together.
