Why Bain?
Like so many others, I came to Bain because of the culture. I've found my peers to be incredibly intelligent, collaborative, active, and fun. In my four years with Bain to date, I've travelled around the world with colleagues to play in Bain World Cup soccer tournaments and attended stellar global training programs with fellow consultants in Cape Cod, Cancun, and Miami.

My passion
At Bain, I am incredibly interested in our Retail practice. In my time at Bain, I have worked in Apparel, Beauty and Grocery. Outside of casework, I am very involved with Bain recruiting and Boston's Women@Bain organization.
Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, running, and sports. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming football season - fingers crossed the Cavs and Redskins give me something to cheer for this year!

My favorite case
As an Associate Consultant, I spent several months working with Girls on the Run (GOTR), a youth development program fostering self-respect in young women. Our job was to revamp GOTR's giving strategy, focusing on building the organization's individual donor base.
Over the course of three months, our team interviewed multiple non-profit directors to develop case studies on successful donor campaigns. We created a three year activity plan for the organization, detailing events and resources necessary to build its donor base and meet revenue projections. Our client maps at GOTR were thrilled with our work, commenting that our output would truly have a lasting impact on their organization.

My personal results story
I transferred to the Bain New Delhi office in July 2006, just as Bain India was getting off the ground. During my six month stint there, there was often no air conditioning, building construction was half complete, and there were barely enough resources on the ground to staff the work we sold. "Step-up" opportunities came without the asking. Within a month, I was managing several analysts, interacting directly with the Partner group, and presenting my work to senior clients, all while learning how to conduct myself in a foreign business environment. I look back on my time with the Bain India start-up as an incredibly exciting and rewarding opportunity.
