  • Why Bain?

Early in college I knew I wanted to focus on business and in a challenging environment where I could collaborate with down-to-earth, efficient, energetic, and well-rounded people. It did not take long to realize that Bain represented exactly that; the perfect balance between intellectual stimulation, interaction with lively teammates and experienced clients, and fun! Bain's unique culture has made each day truly enjoyable.

When I entered Bain, I expressed an interest in working in Latin America. Within a year, I was sent on a four-month transfer to Mexico to work on a large merger in the alcoholic beverage industry. For this and many other reasons, I know that Bain listens and has my professional development and interests in mind.

  • My passion

I am passionate about three things in my career: impact, interaction, and continuous learning. Bain has exceeded my expectations in each. What keeps me passionate is knowing that what I do not only helps me develop professionally and personally but also produces a measurable impact in businesses across the globe. Of course, it is the human interactions and relationships that lead to outstanding results and, at the end of the day, personal satisfaction.

Outside of Bain, I enjoy martial arts, scuba diving, and traveling.

  • My favorite case

I recently worked on a large merger between two alcoholic beverage companies in Latin America. This gave me a unique opportunity to see how two companies integrate their operations, culture, and people. My role was to monitor the overall process, resulting in a great deal of interaction with top executives from both firms. I also developed the tools and analyses to capture synergies and ensure a smooth and timely execution of initiatives.

As a team, we not only identified tens of millions of dollars in value but also learned the "ins and outs" of an industry. In the process, we helped develop the tools and strategy that will form the combined companies' platform over the next five years.

  • My personal results story

I recently worked with a team charged with improving Hispanic graduation rates at a public university in Georgia. My role involved conducting a great deal of primary and secondary research, which helped identify key student pain points affecting retention and graduation rates. The breadth and focus of this work led to surprising insights, which are currently being put to use across public university systems in the United States.

  • My perspective on diversity at Bain

Bain not only fosters a diverse inclusive work environment it thrives because of it. Diverse backgrounds, whether cultural or academic, and points of view inherently allow case teams to be as efficient and objective as possible when solving difficult business problems. Simply put, the outcomes of brainstorming and collaboration improve exponentially with the greater experiences and diversity of individuals in a room.

At Bain, I have been involved with LATBA, a community of individuals with Hispanic roots or interests in Latin America. Our efforts in recruitment, coupled with a number of social events, have been an extremely rewarding and fun experience.

  • A final thought

Bain is an excellent place to start your career. The dynamic nature of the work will keep your mind fresh and sharp, and the sense of community and camaraderie with your colleagues make Bain an exciting place to work.
