Why Bain?
I started working at Bain to try the field of consulting. Soon the work became a passion. What I love about my job is the variety, for instance, I could be talking about steel trends to a client during the morning, and about sales organization for an event management company in the afternoon.

My passion
What I love at Bain is the networking with clients. The networking turns into professional relationship and many times into a real friendship.
Outside of work I love traveling with my family and sailing. Leading a sail boat, managing the external factors, solving the problems and sailing in the ocean, are all factors that make sailing enjoyable to me.

My favorite case
A big complex post merger integration that involved a team of over 300 people (client side) with over 30 Work Groups. We started from scratch, designing the future organization, and we ended up gaining full support from the Work Groups by the implementation phase.

My personal results story
My experience at Bain has been one of constant personal, professional and human growth. All of what I now know and I can do comes from the hundreds of experiences and projects that I've done at Bain. The perception of the track record of result and personal growth, from my point of view, comes from the growing level of people you can influence and earn respect from: from the middle management as a junior consultant, to the CEO of a big industrial group as a senior manager.

My perspective on diversity at Bain
I'm proud of how Bain cares about diversity in all dimensions: BGLAD network, pro-bono projects, highly diversified client portfolios, highly diversified partners profiles, deep involvement of all team members in the project work, etc. are all ways Bain underlines that diversity is important.

A final thought
My personal advice to be a successful consultant is to let yourself enjoy the work you do, and to concentrate on the long haul (that a job is a marathon not a sprint). This can be the best job on earth.
