Why Bain?
I came to Bain because of the people who work here. They are dynamic, passionate, and, most importantly, down-to-earth. I found Bain's culture to be collaborative, supportive, and fun.

My passion
As a summer associate, I chose to spend most of my summer in the Private Equity Group (PEG). It was exciting and rewarding to work in teams on diligence cases in a fast-paced environment.
Outside of the office, I particularly enjoy traveling. This past year, I visited Jamaica, Brazil, and Bermuda. I also enjoy following most major sports, and I get really competitive when it comes to fantasy football.
-
My favorite case
As a summer associate, I spent four weeks on a case investigating the outsourcing of sales functions in the consumer packaged goods industry. It was fascinating to dig deep into the details and learn about what goes on behind the scenes between manufacturers and grocery stores. Taking part in calls with marketing heads from the top food companies and multi-national retailers was definitely a highlight of my experience on this case.
-
My personal results story
My time at Bain has given me the chance to develop and apply my overall business judgment. On certain cases, I have been able to leverage my strengths in accounting and finance, while on other cases, I have gained experience in other disciplines. In general, I discovered so much about how businesses work by learning about diverse industries from oil and gas pipelines to consumer packaged goods.

A final thought
As you consider your job opportunities, make sure you think about the people with whom you'll be working, because they will be your mentors and teammates. Try to meet several company representatives so you can get a complete view of a firm.
