Why Bain?
What I was looking for in a career was the opportunity to challenge myself, solve problems and learn continuously - I found all of these things at Bain. At Bain, I also found a group of incredibly energized and intelligent people and a very open and accepting culture with people from very diverse backgrounds.

My passion
Bain actively encourages everyone to pursue their interests outside of work. I am passionate about environmental issues and am actively involved in Bain's "Red & Green" group - we raise environmental awareness in the office and have put in a place a number of environmental initiatives. Just last weekend, I organized a tree planting day which was a great success.

My favorite case
My most recent case involved developing the pricing strategy for a client that was seeking to revamp its products and become more customer focused in a competitive industry.
We were part of a truly integrated team with the client and there was a very high level of collaboration in developing the solution. Bain's structured thinking and analysis allowed the clients to better grapple with and address the key issues on the project.
My role was to evaluate the revenue impact of the new products/pricing on individual customers and the client's business as a whole. The results from the model which I build were critical to informing the final pricing approach.

My personal results story
At Bain I've been given a high degree of responsibility and ownership from day one. In just a few months I am now very comfortable expressing my ideas and suggestions to the partners and managers on the team and much more confident when tackling a large, seemingly complex, piece of work.
In my most recent case, I was required to work very closely with clients to build a revenue model for evaluating their pricing options. I was somewhat nervous about the degree of client interaction and collaboration required and the level of responsibility I was being given. But with coaching from my Bain team and plenty of opportunity to practice, I very quickly developed trust and strong relationships with a number of clients and have been asked by the client to provide some input on other work being done internally.

A final thought
During the recruitment process, ask all of your questions, including the prickly ones. And, talk to as many people as you can both inside and outside of Bain.
