  • Why Bain?

I chose Bain because of two main reasons: 1) Its unique result-oriented, practical approach (which means higher chances to accompany the client in the implementation phase and a chance to see the results of your work) 2)  Its entrepreneurial and meritocratic spirit (which gives more freedom and incentive to leverage your skills and stretch yourself to achieve your goals).

  • My passion

My passion at Bain is the international experience.  I have spent 3 years in the London office before moving back to Italy and have worked in more than 10 countries (Germany, Belgium, NL, UK, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, South Africa, Brazil, USA, etc.).

  • My favorite case

During a recent case for one of the world's technology leaders in Palo Alto, my team had to work very closely with the client's team on a complex topic (optimization of product pricing and channel discounts).  The projects were directly supervised by the company's CEO, and the pressure on the client's team (and therefore on the Bain's consultants) was extremely high, with tight deadlines, long hours, and joint brainstorming sessions at short (if any) notice.

  • My personal results story

My work at Bain has exposed me to many different issues and challenges across multiple industries, while also giving me a well structured approach to problem-solving.  Overtime, I have developed the ability to quickly identify the key questions and the most important points to crack the case.  I believe that being able to quickly develop a well structured "answer -first" has become a critically important skill  for a strategy consultant in order to effectively deal with increasingly complex issues and with the enormous amount of information technology is making available.

  • A final thought

Ask yourself what type of consultant you really want to become and if you would be happy of spending 14 hours working with your future colleagues.
