  • Why Bain?

I chose Bain because I almost instantly felt a connection with Bainies.  I remember the first time I saw a Bain consultant  speak at a presentation, I was impressed with not only his intelligence and professional maturity, but that he seemed like a great guy that I really wanted to get to know better.  In comparison to other top strategy consultancies, Bain's culture was by far the best fit for me.

  • My passion

My passion at Bain is to work collaboratively with our clients.  The best part of our work for me is to see the looks on their faces during a breakthrough, and to know that we are having a direct positive impact on their business, and even on their careers.

  • My favorite case

A recent highlight on a case came while working closely with a senior executive from a large technology company.  Our team was helping map out decision roles in her part of the company after a re-organization.  As our work progressed, she began relying on me more and more as not only a subject matter expert, but as a trusted advisor.  Having a senior client rely on my advice was tremendously gratifying.

  • My personal results story

After having the chance to train a diverse group of people as a military officer in the Marines, I was fortunate to have a chance to coach senior clients as a first year consultant at Bain.  Over a number of months, I trained more than 400 senior managers and executives at a Fortune 100 company on how to optimize their decision making.  The training program my team developed was met with strong interest and support, and I had the opportunity to present to some of the most senior executives in the company, including the Chief Technology Officer.

  • A final thought

While there are many places to start your career, and something to learn at all of them, choosing a company where you feel a strong connection to your co-workers  helps ensure that your job is not only rewarding professionally, but personally as well.  At Bain, your peers are your team mates, your friends, and your support network.  Bainies work hard for each other, learn from each other, and have a great time doing their jobs!
