  • Why Bain?

I came to Bain because I felt it would challenge me analytically and interest me intellectually and I could not be happier with my decision.  However, the reason I'm proud to work for Bain is the people.  It's rare to find such a collection of driven, yet charismatic people.

  • My passion

I really enjoy the difficult problems that we're asked to crack.  Our clients often turn to us with their most important issues.which are usually the same issues that are keeping them up at night.  It's very exciting to face a new, complex challenge, deliver a practical solution (in a short amount of time), and guide the client in the right direction

  • My favorite case

My favorite project occurred while spending 10 months working from a trailer in southern Mississippi.  While the location wasn't ideal, the client experience was. Our Bain team thoroughly redesigned the way our heavy manufacturing client built its product. By itself the project was interesting. But the fact we were helping a company that supported a Katrina-ravaged area made the project unforgettable.

  • My personal results story

Results.  That's the number one thing Bain has taught me - to be focused on results above all else.  It's not about the most innovative or sexiest solution; its about getting the job done.  Sort of like the late 80s Pistons basketball team.  Not pretty, but pretty successful.

  • A final thought

Advice to recruits: be relaxed during interviews.  Come in prepared, but leave your nerves and worries at the door.  Be yourself and good things will happen.
