Why Bain?
I was hired by Bain out of my undergraduate program. Prior to that, I had completed an internship in investment banking. I choose Bain because of the quality and warmth of the people. The work environment is dynamic and changes frequently. It is rare that I do the same thing two days in a row at Bain.

My passion
I enjoy working with colleagues who are talented, thoughtful, and intelligent. The insights that many of them have shared with me have helped me develop both personally and professionally. As an AC, I get to look at a variety of industries and as a naturally curious person, I think that the job is a real pleasure. Outside of Bain, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and doing my best to stay in shape.

My favorite case
I have worked with both larger corporate clients and private equity clients. My experience has ranged from intensive long-term strategy implementation in the computer industry to short diligence cases in a variety of industries including security, shipping, chemicals, and technical textiles. My favorite case to date was my first in the private equity group, which involved doing diligence of a shipper of energy infrastructure. The case touched on so many industries and broadened my knowledge of global trade, energy, and shipping.

My personal results story
My first case was one that I'll always be able to look back on with pride and the knowledge that I helped to contribute to meaningful change in an organization. My work with the client reached the uppermost levels of management and enabled me to develop relationships that I still maintain today. Plus, I won the data dog award for it!

A final thought
Bain encourages you to take ownership of your work and they mean it. I am looked to as a source of knowledge and ideas by both my superiors and my peers and they trust that I will understand the issue and think logically about the steps that lead to the answer.
