I am proud to be part of this group of people!

• My passion

  My passion at Bain is getting the opportunity to develop in more than one area at the same time. In your Bain case work you mix both industries and capabilities. But also in the activities beyond regular case work I can develop other skills; I have been involved in recruiting, charity, and the organization of office events. This makes my work well balanced, challenging and never dull!

• My favorite case

  My favorite case was a proposal for the introduction of a new product for the management of a TelCo. We were working at one of the key questions for the client -"'which product will make us winners in our business." The conclusion of this project was a positive one: you have a great opportunity and the capabilities to exploit it. The management was so enthusiastic about the final presentation that they took the Bain presentation and presented it to their PE-owners. Now, 6 months later, the product has been introduced successfully!

• My personal results story

  A clients asked Bain to validate their strategy: they wanted to sell their well- performing subsidiaries in order to support the badly performing subsidiaries. The Bain team remained True North and insisted on calculating the impact of a new strategy, next to just validating the proposed strategy. The outcome was that just selling the successful subsidiaries was not the solution, but integration of the different subsidiaries and a serious performance improvement was necessary to make this company a success again. I was proud to work for a company daring to give the more difficult solution, instead of just agreeing with management.

• A final thought

  At Bain, you will find people-people; we all get energy from each other and give energy to each other. You will notice this during your case work, the endless willingness to help each other, but also in the fun we have during office events and outside the office. Bain people let each other be, but never miss out on an opportunity to learn from each other and have fun with each other!
