Why Bain?
The associate consultant role at Bain is one that constantly challenges me and has helped mold me into a sharper, more analytical thinker. The learning at Bain happens both formally and informally in the day-to-day interactions with my colleagues. I'm constantly impressed with Bainies' willingness to help you think through a tough problem and find innovative solutions, even when it takes them away from their own tasks!
I was also able to spend time in the Middle East on a six-month transfer to our office in Dubai, which was not only an amazing experience from a professional standpoint but from a personal one as well. Having spent time in different Bain offices, it has reinforced my belief that Bainees are a unique, fun, motivated bunch, no matter where in the world we are! -
My passion
Graduating as a liberal arts major, I was very interested in pursuing a position that would expose me to various elements of business and a mix of industries. At Bain I've been able to achieve those goals by working on industries as varied as Financial Services, Industrial Manufacturing and Non-profits and capabilities from sales force diagnostics to portfolio strategies.
Outside the office I'm involved in various mentorship activities and have been able to pursue those interests through Bain's partnerships with community organizations, such as Big Brothers and City Year. -
My favorite case
On a recent case experience I personally experienced the power of Bain's global network. We served a client in the Middle East and had team members from our offices in Paris, Singapore, India, Boston and Dubai. Our team collectively spoke seven languages and represented ten nationalities!

A final thought
When evaluating the different consulting firms, I found it helpful to spend time with as many people from the firm as possible and hear all the perspectives I could. There are tons of great firms and the most highly motivated people will excel anywhere they end up. But finding a firm where there are people you click with can make a big difference.
