I really enjoy traveling to explore new places. and have had those opportunities with Bain.

• Why Bain?

  I was drawn to Bain for two reasons: the opportunity to have an impact on our clients' businesses very early in my career and the caliber of the people.

• My passion

  I get a real "kick" out of helping our people deliver! It's neat to watch ACs I've had on teams go on to business school and become successful consultants and managers at Bain. Outside of the office I really enjoy traveling to explore new places. I've had those opportunities with Bain as a result of my casework and our global training curriculum.

• My favorite case

  We helped a client redesign their global manufacturing operations. My Chicago-based team had the opportunity to work in Europe and China, and I had the opportunity to manage a case team based in the US, Europe and China-all at once.

• My personal results story

  As an SAC, I helped a consumer products company identify a series of cross-selling opportunities worth $500M. They had assembled a portfolio of businesses that had complementary products and similar customers. The businesses were run independently, so we had the chance to help them see that "the whole is really greater than the sum of the parts!"

• A final thought

  I continue to be surprised at how much I can learn in this job. When I was an AC I never thought I'd be at Bain long enough to become a manager-I couldn't even imagine having those skills and responsibilities! As I reflect back on that journey, it's clear to me that a similarly challenging and rewarding journey is unfolding in front of me.
