  The people.  I liked everyone I met and really wanted to work with those people.  That has held true through my first year.  The people are the best part of the job, and our teams and office have the most fun and the best culture around.

  Playing basketball, skiing, and staying active in general; reading new things and constantly learning; cooking and trying new restaurants.

• My favorite case

  My favorite was a strategy case in agriculture.  We helped our client remake their value chain and come to the market in a new way, leading a change in the fertilizer industry.  We pushed to add a direct-to-grower capability to their existing wholesale capability, taking advantage of grower consolidation.  We had an awesome team, great fun traveling, and delivered good results to the client.

  I helped identify the most attractive areas in the nation for our client's footprint expansion, and saw the process through with a pilot program in which we helped a field team in Texas change their sales practices.
