• Why Bain?

  There are two main reasons why I chose to work at Bain. First, I was attracted by the opportunity to work in an exciting and challenging environment requiring a strong personal involvement with talented people I could learn a lot from. Furthermore, as I was going through the interviews with different consulting firms, I quickly realized that the people in front of me were the people I wanted to work with.

• My passion

  I love to learn something new every day. Working at Bain, at the end of almost every work day I would walk out of the office and think "I know something or I can do something now that I didn't know, or couldn't do this morning when I walked in." This feeling is what gives me energy to put my best effort into my work with the Bain team and with clients every day, and keeps me confident that this is the job that I like.

  Outside of work, my priorities are spending time with my friends and family, cooking and traveling. I have lived in Canada and Taiwan and I am looking forward benefiting from exchange opportunities among Bain offices!

• My favorite case

  My first project at Bain was assessing a leading French company's investment strategy plan in Italy. The case helped me develop strong analytical skills (in particular assessing the relevance of each type of investment according to its profitability history) and the team on the project was remarkably cooperative, fun and focused on delivering high-quality and sensible results to the client. It was a lot of work but a very rewarding experience.

• My personal results story

  The different projects I have had the opportunity to work on at Bain allowed me to confront and solve diverse and complex problems. Because of these experiences, I am now fully aware of the importance of reasoning on the basis of flawless calculations and data, in order to deliver sensible results. The learning curve is really impressive at Bain.

• A final thought

  Don't fall for the first idea you might get that all consulting companies are similar and only formally communicate on cultural differences. These differences do exist and the more you meet people from these companies, the more likely you are to find out which one is right for you. You are sometimes going to work for long hours and you should do it in an atmosphere you feel comfortable in. This is what I personally found at Bain.
