  • My passion

My passion is travelling. I have always had the desire to discover different countries and cultures. This translated into a number of trips ranging from South-America over Europe and Africa to Asia while I was a student. My biggest fear when I joined Bain was that I wouldn't have the time anymore to travel. However, this has proven to be incorrect. Whether it is for training or case purposes, in the last couple of years I have been able to combine work and leisure trips on many occasions. Also, I was given the opportunity to work in the Melbourne office for 6 months, which was an amazing experience.

Outside of Bain I like to play tennis, go sailing or running, and travelling around the globe.

  • My favorite case

My favorite case experience was when we closely worked together with call center agents to improve customer satisfaction. It was a very hands-on project where we were in the call centre 4 out of 5 days every week. We helped them implementing a closed loop feedback system that allowed them to act on customer feedback not after a month but the next day. It was great to see that we were able to turn around the initial scepticism to finally get great support for the project and also realising amazing results.

  • My personal results story

Given my background as Electromechanical Engineer, the choice for Bain was not an obvious one but I haven't regret it once. At Bain I have constantly been pushing my limits and learning a whole suit of new skills. Summarizing them in a single experience would be impossible. I have learned to make solid business cases, build enduring client relationship, create buy-in for difficult topics, enhanced my analytical abilities, and much more.

  • Why Bain?

After doing an internship between my 4th and 5th year of engineering, I knew that starting my professional career at Bain was the right choice for me. It allowed me to broaden my skill set in an economical environment.

  • My perspective on diversity at Bain

My dad always said: if everybody would be exactly the same we would live in a very boring world. I couldn't agree more. Having diverse teams pushes the creativity and thinking one step further.

  • A final thought

Every day you realise that it is the people that make Bain unique. I have never met so many interesting people from around the globe as I have at Bain.
