Why Bain?
During recruiting Bain talked a lot about how great their people are. I found that it wasn't just a line. The people at Bain really were what set it apart. They were fun, engaging, didn't exude snobbery and exclusiveness like some of the other firms. In addition all of the people I talked to had something about their life or their passions outside work that was really interesting. I thought to myself, "Could I spend long hours working with these people? Would it be fun?" and the answer was "Yes".

My passion
At Bain you're constantly learning and going out and having unique experiences and meeting and working with amazing people - Just to give a few examples - my first day on the job I ended up sitting in a board room with the client's entire senior management team. I've worked with people who have been with the client company longer than I've been alive. I toured a paper mill and paper sheeting facility. I worked with Bain's global director of marketing - and I haven't even been here a full year yet.
Outside of the office I do commissioned art and design work - I've been doing commissioned artwork since high school. Also, one of my enduring passions (it began in my early teen years) is researching historic fashion and costume. You find that lots of people at Bain have quirky hobbies and interests, its part of what make work so interesting.
